Abercerdin Primary School: Our Vision, Mission, and Values

2030 Vision
A centre of educational excellence

Vision 2030 into Daily Mission

Providing Collaborative and Expert Teaching and Learning

We will nurture academic excellence by developing essential skills in Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital Competency. Through the most effective teaching methods, we will ensure that pupils enjoy and engage with all aspects of the Abercerdin Curriculum. Our approach will provide daily, high-quality, and challenging teaching tailored to meet the unique needs of every pupil.

Providing Outstanding Care, Support, and Wellbeing

We will cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that is both supportive and stimulating. By fostering strong, proactive relationships between teachers, children, parents, and the wider community, we will create a school where everyone feels valued and empowered. We will invest in the development and wellbeing of all staff and pupils, ensuring that our school remains a place of growth, encouragement, and shared success.

Developing Successful, Caring Global Citizens

We will equip pupils with a confident understanding of their role in both local and global communities. A strong appreciation of cultural heritage, ‘Cynefin,’ will be fostered alongside respect and understanding for diverse cultures and beliefs. Our approach will ensure holistic development—intellectual, social, moral, creative, and physical—instilling values such as integrity, commitment, self-reliance, and respect for others. Every child, regardless of age, gender, or ability, will be encouraged to recognise and develop their unique talents, fostering a lifelong love of learning and a deep sense of responsibility.

The Daily Mission is support by our School Community Core Values: Living Our Mission Every Day

We believe that success is built on strong values that guide our daily interactions and learning. Our three Core Beliefs underpin everything we do:

  • Being Respectful We celebrate individuality, support each learner’s dreams, and foster a culture of kindness, understanding, and inclusion.
  • Being Responsible – We encourage independence, resilience, and a love for lifelong learning. Our pupils develop self-discipline, motivation, and the skills to navigate both success and challenges.
  • Being Safe – We promote a secure, caring, and inclusive environment where children feel confident to take risks, embrace challenges, and grow in a supportive school community.

Our Daily Mission is supported by our School Professional Values:
